At Wellness Works NW we know the importance of having a wellness plan that includes eating well. In this article I am going to share my personal review of Grancestors Cottage Pie Frozen Dinner. Previously, I wrote a review for Grandcestors Paleo Colorado Hash Meal and how much I enjoyed it. Well, this review is going be a negative one because the Cottage Pie Meal was a bit disappointing to me. Before I tell you why, let me get the nutritional facts stated first, which are still as wonderful as the Colorado Hash Meal.

Grandcestors Cottage Pie Nutritional Facts:

  • 270 calories
  • 50 calories from fat
  • 6 grams of fat
  • 3 grams of saturated fat
  • 0 trans fast
  • Cholestrol 60 MG
  • Sodium 370 MG
  • Carbs 31 grams
  • Dietary fiber 6 grams
  • Sugar 10 grams
  • Protein 23 grams

Ingredients:

  • Grass fed beef
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Onions
  • Carrots
  • Tomatoes
  • Celery
  • Sea salt
  • Paprika
  • Organic coconut oil
  • Spices

The Cottage Pie didn’t have as much flavor as the Colorado Hash and it was missing something in the flavor combination. I was also disappointed that the sweet potato mash didn’t go across the entire thing like a normal cottage pie would. Instead it was a big lump in the middle and the beef mixture mixed around it.

Although I was not satisfied with this meal, someone else might like it for several reasons. It is still healthier than other TV dinners. It has healthy ingredients. It is affordable. I’m glad I tried the Cottage Pie. I look forward to trying their other meals. I just didn’t happen to like this one.

With an eating plan and trying new products and recipes it is always a hit or a miss. That shouldn’t stop you from trying new flavors or combinations or recipes that you find. I like trying new foods and recipes because it allows me to be adventurous in the kitchen.

Karen G Clemenson and the Wellness NW Team look forward to helping you design a wellness plan that works for you that includes being adventurous in the kitchen and your movement goals. Keep moving and grooving!
