Every once in awhile I get a craving for ice cream. While browsing the ice cream aisle at Walmart Market Place I found Paleo friendly ice cream that is made from Avocado. With the Paleo Diet you don’t eat nuts or dairy, so I was surprised to discover that they make ice cream with the base being avocado.

I am going to gush over this product. It is delicious. At first I was wondering if I would get the avocado taste and to my surprise I didn’t. I bought the Deep Dark Chocolate and I love it. I will be purchasing it again.

Cado Frozen Dessert Nutrition FactsMany of our clients who live with chronic illness follow a paleo type of wellness plan. If you watched Karen G Clemenson’s video on May 29th on WWNW’s YouTube Channel you heard her say that 70% of a wellness plan is what you are eating and 30% is movement. That being said, when eating well sometimes we feel deprived and so we need to have healthy treats that we can enjoy when we get a hankering for a sweet treat. I think Cado brand frozen desserts would be a great choice. They have many flavors:

  • Deep Dark Chocolate
  • Simply Lemon
  • Mint Chocolate Chip
  • Cookies and Cream
  • Salted Caramel Swirl
  • Vanilla Bean
  • Java Chip
  • Cherry Amaretto Chip
